FBX import destroys group of another object

Hi, sometimes when I import FBX to my scene, it destroys group of different object. I mean, it moves far away one or more parts from group and sometimes it scales it too.

What could be possible the reason for this? To avoid this I freeze all layers except one but it could happen no matter what. The biggest problem is, when I re-import broken object, it appears broken already, I have to change the name of broken group items or import in different format.

Summary: I import object A (fbx), to existing scene. Object B (grouped-already existing in scene) some parts move far away and get scaled down. I re-import object B, because it's too cumbersome to fix this. Imported object B appears in stage post-import fbx object A.

You haven't said where the FBX came from or how it was created but this is commonly caused by the transforms not being reset. The scale of the various parts is different for each part, even as it looks ok to your eye. Sometimes if you scale a part at the wrong portion of the stack, the internal scale parameters can get out of sync. Try resetting all of the transforms on every component part in the program that's making the FBX. Then import it again. You may have to look up how to do that in your other program.

To do it in Max see this:  https://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2025/ENU/?guid=GUID-B98414B9-4F28-45F4-A1F4-9DA994548ED9
