Export animations from 3ds max to 3ds max interactive

i want to export my animated 3ds max scene to 3ds max interactive and bring the animation as part of the level.

I found tutorials on transferring the scenes and objects into VR, which seems simple enough. But I would like to bring the prebuilt animations across so that I can create a script that plays the animations with the purpose of the viewer seeing the scene in motion while wearing a VR headset

For context, I work for a construction company and I create 3d animations to showcase how the project will be built. The animations are displayed to the client before work begins as a visual aid to discuss methods and workflow. My goal is to convert my animations to VR so that we (the contractors) and the client can see the project being assembled while standing together in VR. I want to be able to run and pause the animations as and when requested by the client while he/she wears his headset.

Is it possible to bring an animated 3ds max scene into the 3ds max interactive game engine? and if so, how?

As far as I know, 3ds Max Interactive is dead. If you have a working version I'd suggest not using it as in the future you'll be left hanging for sure. You might find that Unreal Engine is a good alternative. It has a learning curve, but it can do what you need beatutifully. And Unreal Engine is free. There are 100s of tutorials online for getting started.

If you have some budget and want to make it easy, you can try somehting like this:  https://www.enviz.co/    It's kind of pricy, but it will get you there easily.

Lastly, if you use V-Ray for Max, there are some options at Chaos Group. Here is a link to get you started:  https://docs.chaos.com/display/VMAX/Rendering+with+V-Ray+GPU+directly+to+VR+Headsets
