Disable blue edge (highlights) see-through

Hi everyone,

I'm working on my retopo and what's really bugging me are the blue edges that are always visible through the object. I know I can disable these through Customize> Preferences > Selection/ Preview Highlights, But I don't want to disable all the highlights, since it is handy with retopo.

So my question is: Is there a way to disable see-through/ hide the highlights behind an object.

I made buttons for the previews, to make it faster to switch between them.
Maybe that could help you?
