Curved surfaces and round apertures appearing as polygons when viewed in Autodesk Viewer and 3DS Max

Hi

We're supplying some 3D models created in AutoCAD with a supplier who will turn them into photo-realistic models for our web site. The problem is when the dwg files are viewed in Autodesk Viewer and 3DS Max, all of the curves and round apertures are polygons.

We've tried increasing the FACETRES setting to 10 but this didn't work. We also tried the ISOlines settings but this had no effect.

Any thoughts

Tanks in advance

Andrew

How far away from 0,0,0 is the model in AutoCAD?

You cannot fix how other programs see your AutoCAD generated content. Sorry.

Ask in the 3DSMAX forum for help with that one, for the free online viewer, HELP is a little bit more challenging https://viewer.autodesk.com/designviews

Also, how are you importing the DWG into 3DS Max? Reference Link, Import or other. Like I mentioned in my first response, the further away the objects are from 0,0,0, they will be distorted in 3DS Max. Check a few settings during import.
