I'm hoping to do something similar in what they have done with there particle effects on my mocapped dance move in 3ds max though i don't have sadly enough knowledge of maya or the time to learn, officially I'm not expecting it to be as amazing as these but i thought this would be a good example of what I'm trying to explain on what I'm struggling with its for a final project and i wanted something special to end with would it help if i add what music i will be using for my dance please let me know if this helps or if you need anything else

you neeed to be more specific from the videos 2 it look like you want to the mocap figure to disintegrate? you don't give enough infomation out or a time line number.

disintegrate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgbBxbSq6p8 tutorial

the problem is i am not sure how you are gonna do it with the biped figure there was a tutorial on how to disintegrate a charcter but i cannot find it and  you would need to spend money on a subscription

As i said the videos  are just examples of what I'm looking to do i don't particly want my character to distintergate like in video 2 purple character but more I'm looking for a way to incorporate a type of effect or particle effect so it similar like the examples or something basic to the degree and looks like its a part of the character and moves with my animation like i don't know glowing particles in the shape of person  or around my character mesh and it moves with the animation on my character mesh like these photo character example have a particle effect on them and it moves with there animations that is what I'm wanting I'm not bothered about it disintagrating or not as the end effect I'm more interested in creating a particle effect that can be placed on my character mesh so that i moves with my character when animated

Hello @Anonymous,

This is a bit of a tricky scenario, depending on your experience level.  I believe that a good portion of this will be needing particle flow and possibly a lot of time/patience or a plugin that can help with the polycount and physics.  The boxes react to one another, so that means you'll likely need some MassFX or another physics plugin to emulate the bouncing of the boxes off of one another.  You may check out the particle capabilities of rayfire or another plugin like it.  The voxel, slice, and particle physics would be essentially built in if you used it.

The demo videos are likely made with Maya that comes with the ability to do most of this right off the bat.  Please let me know if you have specific questions.

Hello @Anonymous

How's it coming?  What method are you using for this?  If you have a technical problem with a specific aspect of it, I'm happy to help.
