Create an empty new Group folder

I'd like to move (W) 4 object within a group folder on my scene explorer but understandably am moving everything else at the same time from this group.

If I select just these 4 file and then ungroup 3ds max ungroups the whole folder

I can't drag them out of the folder to therefore create a separate smaller group for them

I can't create an empty group folder in which to assigne them to

I'd rather not ungroup the entire folder as finding all the object to regroup them again after moving the 4 required will be time consuming

How do I move selected objects only within a group folder please?

Hello @office6PUWT,

Select the group and go to Group->Open.  Then select the objects you want to move and go to Group->Detach.  That should do it.  Then you can close your group again and put those objects where you want.
