Changes to 3ds Max Interactive

As of March 30, 2022, Autodesk will discontinue the development of Autodesk 3ds Max Interactive. Customers will no longer be able to use the 3ds Max Interactive functionality as part of their Autodesk® 3ds Max subscription. This change will have the following implications for customers:  

  • As of March 30, 2022, customers will lose download access of all versions of 3ds Max Interactive. 
  • Customers who previously downloaded or installed 3ds Max Interactive before March 30, 2022, will still have access to its functionality.  
  • Development, updates, and technical support for 3ds Max Interactive will cease as of March 30, 2022.

Another abandoned effort at Autodesk. Sorry, Stingray. When you get to software Valhalla say, hi to Toxik, Combustion, and XSI for us. Hopefully CAT won't be joining you

Hello @JezEmin and @mgmcgill,

 

These decisions are always hard, but we recommend investigating the workflows between 3ds Max and Maya and the other industry-standard real-time tools out there, such as Unity and Unreal. Both of them have tremendous support from the CG community and widespread adoption in the marketplace. Thanks,

Students and educators can get free one-year educational access to Auto desk products and services, renewable as long as you remain eligible. If you are a student or educator, you can access free 3ds Max software with an Auto desk Education plan.
