Hello, it happens that when i am in Top view viewport(or ortographic), if i want to snap one object

to a face of another, it will dissapear and it's position will be x=100000000.0m,y=100000000.0m and z=100000000.0m. What's wrong ?

A bit hard to tell from the video what is going on. Have you tried switching to 2.5D or 2D snap mode, just to see whether this makes any difference?

No,is the same.If i drag the spline vertex ,to snap to some faces, in some positions it's snapping and in other positions is dissapearing. It's happening only in top view or ortographic view. But in perspective view it's working.

What are your snap settings when you try to do this?

And there is not, by any chance, some large polygon (e.g. sky) covering the entire scene, which gets snapped to in ortho view?

Can you post a minimal .max file that shows this, for us to play with?

Good find about the backface cull. I can confirm that snap is behaving much more benign if cull is on for the "BEND_ROAD1km001" object.

Without cull, it places the source "Box754" object at [100000000.0, 100000000.0, 100000000.0] if it cannot find a snap target point - Looks like a bug to me, and it only affects Face snap; Vertex snap, Midpoint snap and Edge snap work all fine with and without backface culling.

PS: Somehow it is related to your "BEND_ROAD1km001" mesh - if I hide it and instead put some new geometry in its place, Face snap works like a charm...
