can’t find mr sky portal

I have looked in the create - lights Standard and photometric
Mental ray in my renderer

I am unable to find the light, has anyone any suggestions.

What version of max are you using? They should be in there in 2009 and 2010.

It's not available to download as a plugin.

This is the 2010 forum. But the Sky Portal should still be there in 2009 in Photometric Lights.

You sure you are using Max 2009 and not Max 9.
There are too many photometric lights listed for 2009.

That’s the Interface of Max 9, not 2009, in 9 there is not such tool.

Mr Sky Portal was introduced in Max 2008 (see image).

Clivej - please put your Max version (and brief system specs) in your signature (accessed via your User Profile). It helps avoid the confusion seen above.
Also, please choose the most appropriate forum for your question e.g. not Max 2010 when you have Max 9.
