I've installed 3ds Max on my new company managed Lenovo T470. At the end of the installation, I've launched it automatically and it worked fine.
Next time I launched it, it crashed immediately with the "an error has occurred" message.
I've uninstalled it. Reinstalled it. Same behaviour.
I've then followed the "Remove Autodesk Software" procedure to remove everything : https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/download-install/remove-products/remove-windows-prod...
And reinstalled it. Same thing in the end: 3ds max crashed when launching it the 2nd time.
Then I inadvertently launched it with the Autodesk Desktop App, and then it worked fine.
I've then tried to launch it with the Windows Start Menu, the Desktop Link, double clicking on a max file and also by double clicking on the 3dsmax.exe: everytime 3ds Max is crashing.
But if I launch it with the Destop App it works.
It's ok for me, but not so convenient.
Any idea?
Thanks
