Can i assign polygons into "rendergroups"

So im looking for a way to take polygons or elements of my editable poly and assign them to some sort of "rendergroup" that allows me to include or exclude them from renders.

I'm currently facing the problem that i have a model that uses 2 different skins for his arms, one with naked arms and one with a a tight fitted glove style which has a slightly different shape.

The problem im facing is that the naked arms clip through the gloves while animating and i can't just detach the arms and gloves to seperate objects, that would result in a cut normal which is visible in renders and i cant apply the "Edit Normals" modifier to unify normals across multiple objects.

Is it possible to assign polygons to some sort of group where i can decide whether its renderable or not. Maybe exclude specific material ID's from renders?
