Border is highlighted instead of polygon faces in percpective mode

A recent issue has occured when I try to click on the polygon, edge, or element, the percpective mode only highlights the wired border whereas the orthogonal views properly highlight the entire face. How do I change the face to be highlighted in perpective mode, rather than a border be highlighted?

Can you try the F2 key? Cannot recall where this is in the menus.

Thanks very much. I realize it had to do with Soft Selection.
