Blueprint Setup Help

So i'm modelling my first object and I've set up my blueprint planes, but when I tried to actually add the picture I can't figure out how.

So far i've selected the plane I want and then gone to material editor. Diffuse, Bitmap and set that to the texture I want. But it still doesn't show up.. it's probably a really simple issue but does anyone know how I can fix it? Thanks

This method is crude, but it works:  Have Windows Explorer showing the image file - and max open showing the plane onto which you want your image to appear.  Drag the image file from Windows Explorer straight onto the plane and let it go.

If it's not right immediately, zoom in - the image might be really small and tiled.  If so, with your plane selected, go to Modify and add a "UVW map" modifier.  In the Modifier parameters, uncheck the "Use Real-World Map Size".

Sorry - to answer your specific question - in the Material Editor, there's a button called "Show map in viewport".  You need to turn it on.

Sorry to bother you again, but I did the dragging method you suggested but the image is really blurry. The plane dimensions are the same as the images and I have a UVW map modifier applied and real world map size is unchecked.

And I'm too thick to find the Show Map in Viewport Button.. where is it?

EDIT : I found that, but the image is still really blurry, any ideas?
