best PC configuration for 3ds max + arnold

I am looking for the best configuration for a PC to render on arnold+3dsmax. I only use it to render studio or interior scene images.

I bought my PC last year, but obviously, I've been badly adviced : rendering takes a long time

I use only Processor to render. I don't know why, but when I try to render with GPu, images are very noisy and the render time takes as long as with processor.

Here is the current config :

- Microsoft Windows 11 Famille 64 bits - OEM (DVD)

- ASUS PRIME B660-PLUS D4

MHz CL16

- Kingston SSD A2000 1 To

Could you please tell me how to boost my PC to reduce rendering time? I am an interior designer, no need a "formula 1 PC" ! Just want to upgrade my device with a affordable budget. I bought my PC less than 1500 € (excluding taxe), I can spend 1500 € more max.

Hi,

Looking at your motherboard (LGA 1700), it seems you can upgrade your current i5 to an i9:

And maybe double up the amount of RAM to 64?

*Note that changing your current i5 (65w) to a i9 (150w) you might need to up the PSU from 700w to something bigger... and upgrade your CPU cooler too (if you want to change away from the stock cooler).
