Beginner: Snapping to corner

I wanted to ask the community what the best snap settings are in snapping this vertical rectangle to the bottom corner of the horizontal rectangle? Programs like Photoshop and Illustrator have the really awesome click and drag shift function where it snaps automatically to a corner. 3DS Max is a bit more customizable, though, a bit confusing for beginners. Are there any specific snap settings to avoid generally?

You can use the Vertex Snap type for this:

'S' is default hotkey for enabling Snaps.

Right, I see. Yeah, I need to train my brain in always remembering to do vertex snaps by click on the corners instead of the entire shape so they snap onto the other shape's edge perfectly. Thank you.
