Bad keyboard response

I just installed 3ds max 2016 and I'm getting really bad keyboard response.

For example when I want to switch viewports with ALT-W I sometime have to hit the shortcut multiple times before it responds to my input.

Same goes for the translate, scaling selection shortcuts. Max 2014 works flawless.

Anybody here who has experienced the same problem? I couldn't find any similar problem on the web.

Hi, you said "I sometime have to hit the shortcut multiple times before it responds to my input."

If 3ds Max finally grab your keyboard input, i suspect a problem with your keyboard.

In order, i would try this:

- Reboot

- Check the keyboard connections or the batteries (if wireless)

- Try a new keyboard

- With some keyboard, you can reinstall the drivers

- reset 3ds Max to default settings: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max-design/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/...

Thanks for the fast response, I dont think my keyboard is broke since all other software input, inluding this message 🙂 has no problems. The max installation is a fresh one, no changes were made, and the keyboard is not wireless.

No, sorry i can't confirm this.

As always: Just create a new, fresh windows user and try to reproduce this with the new user.

Found this thread while searching for a solution for the same problem... Did you manage to figure out what was wrong? This same issue has been bugging me for a month now and it's really making my work slow. -.-

Sorry I forgot to post the solution... It was the ART plugin from autodesk labs 2016. With the newest plugin the problem was solved.
