Backburner 2008.1 Problem

I didn't see a Backburner forum so move this if it's not in the right spot.

I am in the process of installing MAX2010_64 on the entire pipeline (don't intend to use it yet... just starting the laborious process of getting the farm ready. I am continuing to use MAX2008 for now).

I have sucessfully installed it on many XP x64 systems but when I get to my render manager system (Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition), it installs just fine but when starting the Manager I get weird errors that say:

INF @#$ missing message: 1050 $#@

INF @#$ missing message: 1205 $#@
INF Wiretap interface connected to the local manager

INF @#$ missing message: 1035 $#@

Is this a known issue? Is there something special I need to do to get the Manager working on this system?

As I installed on each of the other systems... the new BB2008 Server app connected to the old Manager app (whatever version came with MAX2008) with no problem.

Thanks for any ideas!
Sincerely,

Mike Truly

This is what I did to work around the problem. (This is very un-tested at this point).

I had installed the BB 2008.1 software on each slave system and then I uninstalled it from the Server system. I then installed the BB 2007 from the MAX2008 disc back onto the Server system. Although this is untested (haven't been net-rendering for a couple of weeks), each of the slave BB2008 servers sees the old BB2007 manager just fine.

I may run into issues when I go to net-render... we'll see.
Sincerely,

Mike Truly
