Attach 2D Text above a 3D Scene

Hello,

is there any way to attach 2D Text above a 3D scene, which stays always horizontal to the viewer?

I export .fbx-models from 3ds-max for my clients and want to have a small copyright label with my company name in the corner of the fbx.-3D-Scene. So, when clients open and rotate the .fbx- scene f.e. in Microsoft -3D-Viewer (or import the .fbx to Word/PowerPoint) the label should always be on top of the 3D-Model and readable.

I already figured out, that it is possible with javascript "three.js". (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/15248872/dynamically-create-2d-text-in-three-js)

Unfortunately, I'm not proficient in programming.

Is there an easier way to do this? Maybe by using another file format?

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, there isn't an easy way to do this, especially considering that FBX is a file format and 3D viewer is an app made by a 3rd party.  You can write a script to go along side the MS 3D viewer app, but you could never guarantee that the folks at the clients had your specialized script installed (or are using the MS 3D viewer app in the first place) so that your script behaved correctly, and a file format isn't going to bother with all this kind of fluff.  Or that an update won't break your custom script if you make one, etc.

As far as a 3D solution, you could make 2 planes on the ground near your object with self illuminated textures of the logos and export that together with your model, but it wouldn't 'always be on top.' and would add extraneous elements to the fbx file.

If your goal is to brand yourself, most client deliverables are private so they already know who you are.  If your goal is copy protection somehow, this could be easily defeated.  Maybe you can embed the info in the file details in windows, best option imho.
