Asset library does not load assets

The asset library (3ds max 2018) does not load or show thumbnails and or files at the asset panel after adding locations. I did register MaxThumbnailShellExt.dll succesfully, cleared the cache and restarted windows 10, installed sp3 etc. But unfortunately no succes, can anyone help me please.

Hi @Anonymous

It looks like you don't have any asset display options activated (those 3 buttons that look like a 3d cube, a picture, and a wrench). Click those buttons until they turn blue to enable display of the various assets types and select the adjacent arrow to further refine the filters by asset type.

We have an item in the backlog to add some hints when nothing shows up in the asset panel to direct users to those display settings

My library is empty and I have read prior/similar issues but those solutions did not solve mine.  I installed the program and starts up fine but other than whats on my computer I have nothing showing for cgtrade or other libraries.

Our usage analytics have shown that having direct access to 3rd party content stores from within the Asset Library was not delivering enough value. We have discussed this with our content partners, and have decided to deprecate the online service.
