arc to editable mesh - control the number of steps in the arc

If I draw an arc and later convert to an editable mesh, how do I control the number of steps in the arc?

the arc has a radius 32, start 90 stop 180 (products a 90 degree arc)

when I convert to an editable mesh, it has too many steps in the arc - I only want 12 steps

I've tried initially setting this in interpolation of the arc, but nothing happens?

So I've can control the steps now - I restarted the project and steps does give me the control I want, in the INTERPOLATION section

New problem - when joining an arc to a line, and then creating an editable mesh from it, the join isn't smooth. Is there an automatic way to make the join smooth?

For the last post, did you weld the two vertices before convert it to an editable mesh?

Hello @Anonymous,

I believe @Fadhil_Farook is correct, welding those should help.  Did that work for you?
