Animation rendering video output

Im really new to 3dsmax and know really little about it. Im having an issue where whenever i try to render an animation/get a video output, it only renders 129 frames making the video only 4 seconds long. The rest of the frames are just missing. For example , i recently set the timeline to 400 to create a 12 second long animation , but when rendered for the final output, it only consisted of 129 frames and was only 4 seconds long and the rest of the animation was cut out as its only 4 seconds long. I require to create longer animations for future projects in my diploma and this issue isn't allowing me to do so. Any help on how to fix this will be really helpful.

Hello @danielmorritt25

You should never render to video, only frames.  Then take those frames into the frame buffer or into a video comp program to make the movie.

Is your timeline set to 400 frames?  If you render frames, you can pick up where you left off.  Sounds like your computer is crashing or you ran out of memory so the render stopped.

Best Regards,
