Hi,

This is a question for anyone running the latest version;

Does the In-Built Material Converter have more presets now?

Nope, but our fellow forum member and genius Arnold/OSL/Rendering guru @madsd had written some conversation scripts as well as a tutorial how write your own.

You will have to search the board or ask him.

Great. Thanks for the info. It's good to hear that. This really opens up the interoperability between programs and pipeline workflows. It's been a pet hate of mine for years now that we all have to resort to scouring scriptspot for such a core function.

Hi,

You can try get this package going.
https://www.masd.dk/arnoldconverter/

I have a good stack of updates coming up soon to expand the possibilities, primarily I focus on converting legacy maps to OSL, for example the Vray and Corona Color maps has been rewritten as a new osl map called MDColor.osl.

It auto installs in max when you install package and can be found in the MDShaders category and the scene converter will also give an option to convert to this map.

So this is an ongoing experience that keeps expanding, so if you got some issues, let me know and we take a look at it.
