3ds max started to play an alert sound in UVW Unwrap

Hi guys. Does anybody know why my 3ds max started to play an alert sound every time I double click or select a region in UVW Unwrap?

Here is the video. I suppose it's win 10 1709 bug, the previous bug was in creating a phys camera every time I double-clicked in the viewport. A guy on this forum helped me to solve it, just by removing the shortcut for creating a camera from view. I suppose the same thing is here, but what should I remove to get rid of this sound? Because I can't mute my volume every time I work on my unwrap

Hi,

Try right clicking the sound icon on your window's taskbar, choose sound

and in the dialog that opens, Sounds tab, if you want to turn off all windows sounds you can

click the drop down menu of the Sound Scheme and choose No Sounds,

Or, maybe you can try different schemes from list click Apply and see what happens.

You really think that I don’t know how to turn off the global sound? I asked why this sound started to play, because previously there was no sounds for these actions. Also, I prefer listening to the music while working in 3d, so it’s not a solution.

Hi,

Choosing the option No Sounds from the Sound Scheme list doesn't stop you from listening to music,

It just turns off windows sounds for things like Empty the recycle bin, Mail notification, etc,...

I personally use a Sound Scheme from the list called Sonata, not for anything special but because it is one

of those Schemes that turns off most of windows alerts that i don't want to hear and keeps only few.

So my idea is that, maybe this annoying sound you're hearing is related to one of the plenty

Options in the Sound Scheme list.

Finally, a last test, since windows sounds are associated with windows themes, try changing the theme

and see what happens.

Hello, I had the same problem 
After searching on the web about this prob i found how to fix it... in my case i couldnt use the shortcut keys cuz each time i was clicking on "W" or R to rotate  it was doing that alert sound. So basicly its the shortcutz that aint working . All u need to do is click here 


Once active it stops doing that alert sound and u can use the shortcutz.
