This looks like a serious problem. I'll wait for someone who really knows how to fix the issue to come, but I have some suggestions to try.

  1. Remove the ENU folder to get max to reset to default (likely not going to fix anything)
  2. Windows Update to update all the drivers
  3. Try to find the driver from the manufacturer's website and try installing it. In this case, I think you're working on a laptop, if it's Asus laptop, go to Asus website, if it's Lenovo, go there, etc.
  4. Reinstall 3Ds Max

Hi,

The clue to why it's not working is in the Faulting Module names starting with 'NV'. These are Nvidia specific componants, as in dedicated Graphics Card componants. Unfortunately from what you are saying above you don't seem to have a dedicated Graphics card. I would imagine 3DSMax is upset by this.

System requirements here: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/tsarticles/ts/5yRBq0gwzGWD7440KlWWIc.htmlhtt...

Please note page six and seven of the sys requirements for 2024, here it explains what AMD branded cards will work, just in case you have an AMD Graphics Card hiding somewhere.

I just solved this problem also.

you can try moving 'nvcuda64.dll' file to another folder and open it again.

Maybe 3DS max tries using CUDA core.
