3Ds max 2021 save option working as Save As?

3Ds max 2021 save option working as save as even after saving the file it keeps working as save as option. Does anyone know hot to get rid of this?

Hi @Anonymous ,

The File, Save command in 3ds Max pops up "Save File As" only when it is the first time a 3ds Max scene is being saved.  Once a scene has been saved or has a name, Ctrl-S, or File, Save will not prompt the "Save File As" window and save to that name.  This behaviour hasn't changed in 3ds Max.  Notepad++, Microsoft Word and other tools also use this same convention: the first save shows "Save As".

This is not common behavior, this is an issue. It happens to me also. My file is saved in the scene folder for the determined project, and still, every time, the SAVE command (no matter if is as a shortcut, or from menu-save) is acting like SAVE AS

There was another post with this issue recently that got answered, we didn't hear back if that solved the problem or not, I would recommend to have a try and please let us know if that solved it or not, thanks
