3DS max 2019 selecting object crash

Hi

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post or if its been answered before, I keep getting a recurring crash in 3DSMax 2019.3

It seems to happen randomly maybe a few times a week but when I select a new object (edit poly) it seems to throw the edit poly tab over to the other side of the viewport and then crashes max, it manages to save a backup before closing though.

Has anyone else had this issue? attached is a screen grab before max crashes.

Thanks

Sorry mate if you don't show us or tell us what the error says we cannot help you. Have you updated 3ds max to the lastest service pack and hotfixes.

Do you get a crash reporting error that asks you to send it to autodesk?

can you post an 3ds max file so someone can take a look at it,

I got a crash reporting error but I forgot to save out what the error said, I was just wondering if anyone had experienced it in the mean-time. It seems to happen randomly so I cant recreate it in the file, I will wait until it does it again and copy the error and post it here.

I have the latest service pack 2019.3.

I only imported an OBJ from marvellous designer into a new scene but I have attached the file in case its of any use.

Thanks for the reply, sorry I was probably a bit pre-emptive without having the error report.

Hi @Jamesatmos , no worries! Admittedly, the error reports don't always give useful clues to the user anyway.

Thank you for attaching the scene file that may be the culprit. Would you mind sending me your email address in private? I can see if we got the report on our end, and look for clues over here.

Just to be absolutely clear: the fix for this is currently in testing phase and is 'unscheduled' in terms of a potential release version. We think we've got it, but it needs to be confirmed.

If anyone else is experiencing this issue, I encourage you to join our beta program and help us validate that we've resolved it.
