I have my layer manager on another monitor, along with the material editor. with max 2016 it used to reset layer explorer position every time I opened a new file, then I installed max 2017 and it would stay in the same position even after reopening max. then all of a sudden, after like 3 months using max 2017, it started to behave like it used in max 2016, and reset it's position. I didn't touch the interface or anything, it just happened.
really annoying having to move and resize layer explorer window every single time I open a file. any fixes for this?
Hello @fael097,
Did anything change recently? A major Windows update? (W10?) A plugin installed... anything? My guess is that you no longer have permissions to write to the settings folder. Is there anything else you can tell me?
My first instinct is that you need to reset your user settings.
