My install of 3ds installs it'self then turns around and uninstalls itself. Any ideas why? Its version 2023.

The only thing it comes to mind is the installation finding an issue and then reverting. For example, lack of space to proceed with the installation. Do you see any error messages?

I've also seen the installer revert when 'install updates' is checked because my firewall was blocking it.  Unchecking and doing the updates afterwards worked for me, though I could have also whitelisted the installer I suppose.

I would try checking the install logs to see if there is anymore info as to what is going on. You can see where to find the logs in the article below.

Like everyone mentioned, this does seem to be an issue is encountering some kind of problem while installing so it ends up undoing everything.

I found that adding exit codes of 1638 and 3010 stopped the revert process. Thank you all for your help and ideas!

Exit code 1638 might be a failure to install a visual C++ redistribution which would point to permissions or some kind of conflict.   Maybe you can manually install that package before the 3dsMax installer.

Exit code 3010 from a quick google is that the machine cannot complete the installation without a restart.  Perhaps the manual install of 1638 and a reboot will then allow it to install.

But to be safe, uncheck 'install updates' (if that is possible) in the installer and then install them afterwards.
