3DMAX 2025 FILE CRASHED WHEN RENDER BY VRAY 2025

Hi Guys,

I have an issue with the simple 3D Max file when I start render for the second time or start IPR. Suddenly, the max file crashed, and the report mentions the information below : 

Date/Time: 2024-08-15 09:58:50 +03:00
Application: 3dsmax.exe
Error: Access violation - code c0000005 (first/second chance not available)
Crashed Module Name: vrender2025.dlr
Exception Address: 0x00007ffb73162441

Thanks for bringing your question to the forums!

I guess my first question is, does 3ds Max crash when rendering with any of the built-in render engines in the same scene, or just Vray?

Here is the main article that Autodesk has for troubleshooting Vray render crashes here. I also read up on this reddit thread that the RAM might play a part in Vray render crashes, so depending on your settings, you could monitor your RAM performance at render time.

Hope this info helps, and maybe others will chime in on thread if you are still running into issues.

Error: Access violation - code c0000005 is a memory error.  So you're running out of memory either on your GPU or on your system, or the RAM isn't stable in its current configuration.
