Can not find ANY documentation for gaussian splat .PLY export. Every attempt I get "Gaussian Splat exports only a single object at a time. Please select one Gaussian Splat model"

it should select a gs first , if you select a normal mesh object , it couldn't export as gs , and export may crash max as a bug of current 2027.2 version
if you need convert a mesh to gs , you should write a python script to do that 
i had wrote convertor for our's ai tool , if you want a test , you could upload your scene by fbx format , need bake mat to basecolor

Thanks for the reply. Is there any documentation that you know of? I did try selecting a GS and exporting. Even tried importing one and then exporting that one.  Seems like with all the GS additions this would be a simple export. Only other options I've seen are rendering stills and getting camera positions for another app to then create the GS. Feels like I'm missing something if the MAX tools were built to edit GS but can't export?

they may not edit a topic about export 
when new update released may be export normal
if you had select a gs , it shows the dialog , it means what you select is not a gs but a point cloud , if it is a gs ,it could export , it will crash on my pc , so i can't check the result
