Physically Based Rendering in Max?

Hi,

I need to create PBR textures for models that I created in Max. I'm wondering what is the best way to approach this. Can I create the various profile maps within MAX or is their a recommended software for this. I don't want to spend hours on end painting models, a drag and drop with ability for some alterations would be ideal. Also the types of models will vary from products like shelves, fridges, tables to beds sofas and pillows.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this topic.

PBR is a standard but at same time each renderer implements it in a different way. Then you need first yo determine what renderer you will use and that will change how the textures are done. There is not universal rules for all .Some renderers/engines are more compatible than others and there is the possibility of converting textures between different PBR standard, this can be time consuming sometimes.

Hello @sullivanmark123 ;

Chaos Group V-Ray and Corona are considerably good PBR engines, also, V-Ray has VRScans materials which are %100 procedural. There are also communities that share PBR material libraries for each renderer.

Kind regrads;
