Material Conversion --> Autodesk Generic to Max Standard

I am working with a client's Revit (2020) model with hundreds of materials. On link to my max (2020) file they all show up as "Autodesk Generic" (and hardwood, ceramic, & etc.) types. Is there a way of converting these to Standard material type?
Vray can convert from Standard, but not fro Autodesk Generics. Thanks in advance

You can use the scene converter tool to transform autodesk material to standard.

Your best bet is to use the 3D Max material converter and change all materials to Physical material, V Ray should render those materials.

After that, you can keep them as physical or use the VRay material converter and change everything to V Ray materials.

Usually, some textures get missing, but you can use an incredible script called "relink bit map" that makes fixing all those asset searches a breeze.

You can also use "V-RayMax Converter PRO" to convert any Autodesk materials to V-Ray materials, then convert them to regular Standard, Physical or PBR materials.
