Problems with generating Motion Paths at factory layout imported from Inventor

Dear all,

I have problems when I'm generating motion paths for moving object in 3ds Max 2018.

I have import the .iam (Inventor) file into 3ds Max for the purpose of generation paths for moving AGV and workers in factory layout.

First I have create the spline line to which I have convert from selected object (AGV, human). When this is made extra two paths were generated by 3ds max extended to my drew one. Results, the selected object is moving on two extra generated line and not on my wanted path. It is like that now the object have 3 lines instead of one.

In attachment is my project file.

Please help me.

Regards,

Robert

It is a bit difficult to decipher the bounds of the original path from the extra paths in the image you posted.  I'm only guessing but since you imported an assembly could you be getting duplicate paths for each of the parts of the assembly?

Another factor that can add surprise motion is the default transitions used between keyframes.  I have found it  best to start with linear transitions with Euler operators or tension set at 50 for TCB controllers.

I can only see your picture, there's no Max file attached?

It seems you have 2 objects selected, so 2 motion paths show on the viewport, but I could be wrong. Hard to tell without the Max file 😞

Dear all,

yes the AGV selected have multiple objects (frame+lights etc.) I have linked all parts together and in this why I have create one single object to which I have assigned trajectory with no problem.

Thank you for your help,

Regards,

Robert
