Change Biped bone pivot and position (picture)

Standard Biped.

1) I need to change the pivot point of a thigh, the place where the thigh bone attaches to Pelvis. As you see on the picture, standard pivot point is on the outer side of the bone, but it should be on the inner side.

2) I need to test a lot so I have to reposition the top end of the thigh. Now to change where thighs start on the Pelvis I have to change Pelvis position or scale, to move thighs a bit upward I have to either move or scale Pelvis vertically. It changes the whole upper Biped parts and makes me adjust everything. I want to adjust only thighs but currently they seem to be fixed, I can't move them even in Figure mode.

How did you manage to move the thigh without moving the pivot?

I didn't move a thigh, it can't be moved at all, it's stuck with pelvis. If you move a thigh somehow it will move with its pivot. But I want to move its pivot without moving the thigh to adjust pivot position.

I don't think that you can with biped but have you tried using Affect Pivot Only in the hierarchy panel?

It's years later, and I'm having this problem, myself.

What's going on at Autodesk that they haven't figured out that moving the pivot for bones is critical, crucial, and 100% necessary?
