To keep is simple, I have a Static MassFX plane that is sloping. I'm dropping a sphere on it. I want the sphere to grow as it rolls down as if it's picking up material on the way down. Imagine a growing snowball.
I thought this would be simple but 3 hours later, I can't figure out how to do something so simple. I've tried animating the Edit Poly Sphere in 'Animate' mode. That works for the sphere but the MassFX 'Physical Mesh' for the sphere is not animatable. So with the small sphere starting out, the center is the same and when the sphere is larger, it looks like it's sinking into the ground as it grows. The 'Physical Mesh' does not increase in size to provide the correct surface diameter.
What am I missing?

That's what I like about this forum, finding solutions from looking at problems from a different direction.
That's a fantastic way to address it, but I made up the scenario to keep my description of it simple. It's actually a ball that rolls down a helix ramp that's like a coiled water slide. The slope is the same all the way down. But, you give me an idea, what if I change the size based on altitude? Your idea just might be perfect, I just need to change the parameter that is driving it, height instead of slope.
Now that I think more, I think they are the same. The ramp's angle does not change, only the elevation at each point, exactly like the coiled helix (I guess that's redundant...coiled helix...) that I have. I'm going to give it a try. Excellent way to think about this, I appreciate it
