This is a strange one. I have a drawing that's the source of my alignment and profile. There are data shortcuts made of these alignments. I last edited my alignment drawing back in December. Today, I go to edit it and when I selected the alignment I didn't get the grips. I checked Prospector and it shows my alignment is a data reference. But that can't be since this is the source drawing of that alignment, as shown in the screenshot below.
What's going on? Any time I save the drawing I get the notification that data shortcuts need to be sync'd. There's a strange, circular reference going on and I can't edit the alignment.
I promoted the alignment in the drawing and going to see if that's all it takes to fix this, but thought I'd make a post to see if anyone else has run into this. I've never had this happen since data shortcuts were added way back in C3D 2007 or 2008.
