ice-cream.jpgHi, please see attached; my shadow areas are grey in the strawberry and banana part of the ice cream-I have used, not shown here, the TM for color in SSS, but the SSS part is not reflective of the color, same results as here , any thoughts,? in other words, would love to get a nice pinkish glow in the crevices for the strawberry part, but I am stumped, I use C4D, thank you

Are you using sss_color?

I would increase the sss_scale for all of your shaders here.

Can you share your SSS settings?

These tutorials may also help:

Hi Lee, did you get my screenshot of my settings? are you suggesting that I increase the RGB settings of the SSS only ? thank you, Craig

I would increase the sss_weight and play around with the sss_scale.

You should use randomwalk_v2 also.

If that doesn't help then upload a simplified scene somewhere and I will have a play.

Hi Lee, unfortunately my file sizes are way too big!-I used 4K maps created in Z brush, even after using a sphere instead of my ice cream model, just the TM is about 56 mgs. If there is an alternative way to share my file with you, I know that I would benefit greatly. Please let me know, I value your opinion, thank you, Craig

That should be fine. Just upload it somewhere so that I can look at it.

Did you try the changes that I recommended? Can you post the renders?

And be sure to check the Export scale setting in the Arnold Render System Settings tab. 1cm should be the right value for realistic dimensions
