topic render node licenses in VRED Forum

hello all.

quick question:

i remember that in older versions of vred pro, some render-node licenses were included.

i wonder if this is still applicable, given that render node as been replaced by vred core.

we have recently added 2 vred pro licenses to our rooster, having now 2 pro and 5 design.

i was wondering if we can add the design-driven PCs to a potential cluster using the pros.

Hi, CPU or GPU cluster?

for gpu cluster you can only use Vred Pro (up to 2 gpu per license) or Vred Core (1 gpu per license)

For cpu you can use Vred pro or render nodes license.
Vred design cannot be used as render node, I think it can only be used as master in a cluster of render nodes.

Note, for clustering you can only use multi user (net) license, no single user license.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/vred-forum/cluster-issue/m-p/9280356

Best

Chris
