Hello,

i created a HTML Scenpalte that works good in the Editor, but it's purpose is for VRED GO, so the user can switch some variant sets.

Sadly the HTML page is not included in the .exe, so it has to be placed for example next to the .exe.

But i haven't found a way to make a relative path to the HTML File in the Sceneplate editor (absolute path is not working since i want to send it to other people).

I read about using an environmentvariable for this, like: VRED_CURRENT_PROJECT_DIR

That would also be fine, but in VRED 2021 there is no such variable defined when i look the variables up via python. Some others are definded, but not this one nor any variable, that gives me a path the the current opened file.

Any suggestions how this could be done?

Best,

Florian

The main problem is, how to make the path relative

Hi,

you have to inline your html code inside the plate editor, or you have to put your html on a web address that you can reach via vred go.

In this post you can find some informations.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/vred-forum/vred-go-html-overlays-complete-code-has-to-be-inlined-into-the/m-p/9431329#M7441

Best

Chris
