Findfile challenge

Hi again,

I'm not sure this can be done, but I figured I would ask any ways. You folks have performed many miracles in the past so...

My lisp gets the sheet number from an attribute, such as "A10.00"

Is it possible to go into the current drawing directory and find the drawing with information in the beginning of the name?

Example:

User fills attribute with A10.00. The actual drawing name is "A10.00 - Details.dwg".

Is there a way to search current drawing folder, find the "A10.00 - Details.dwg" (using the A10.00 provided) and provide the full drawing name back to the user?
