Optical approeach to filter objects

as a MEP drafter I getting the architectural drawing from others, modify them to fit my standards. before I even start the real work im mapping entities color to match the logic behind my ctb.

AutoCAD offers lots of tools to detect and filter entities by properties and location but I can't find a simple way to select entities simply by their appearance color.

for example, I want to select all entities which render as red, i don't care if their color comes from a layer or a property, just because they render as color 1 I want them to be selected.

why there is no such tool?

This has come up before. Maybe you can use >this< or something else on that same thread, or find something with further Searching. BUT there are caveats -- I don't think such a routine would be able to identify pieces inside Blocks that are on such Layers or assigned such colors, and it would identify Blocks inserted on such Layers with color ByLayer even if no pieces inside them "qualify," and it couldn't highlight internal color override formatting within Mtext content, and there may be some other problem circumstances.

But this is not the right place to ask "why" about possible features or options. This is a User Forum, with limited monitoring by AutoDesk people. Go to the Product Feedback page if you want to suggest such a feature.

I will add a wishlist item. the reason I post here is that I was hoping someone can direct me to the right place. regarding the object inside blocks, I don't need to select them just to change their color.
