Do you not have template files with preset/predefined layouts you can simply import and use on the fly? If not, now is a good time to create and use them, manually setting up each and every layout is indeed a total waste of time.

Hi there,

I have a lot of drawings to save to pdf. The problem is, they all have custom sizes, like 420x560mm or 841x1100 and so on. So far I do it all manually, I mean: I go to layout tab, I draw specified viewport (if it's not already drawn by someone else), then I go to page setup, from the list I choose dwg to pdf>properties>custom properties>I type the size I need>ok>plot. If any of these steps can be automated? It would be really helpful since I have to save ~50 PDFs like these everyday 😕 I've searched the forum already and found some lisps that can be useful but only when you have standardized sizes (or even the same).

Is there anything that could "read" size of viewport (in 99% they are correct and prepared by someone else) and "pass" it into "custom size" fields in "dwg to PDF" properties? Or is there any other solution for making this process faster?

Thanks in advance for any tips 😄

You have answered your own question, get the viewport size and match then to a paper size. here is something to get you started it uses a window option for plotting which is what you want.
