You can export to excel the surface area obtained from sendCommand?

or you can be programmed with a vba the surface area

Using VBA inside Excel (or a VB.Net in AutoCAD) this can be done as long as you know the AutoLISP command that you are trying to do.

In the example below I pull the results from the ace_getactiveproject command and put it in my local (VBA) sReturn variable. From there you would need to push the data to the cell that you want on the worksheet.

appAutoCADe.ActiveDocument.SendCommand ("(setvar ""USERS1"" (ace_getactiveproject))" & vbCr)
sReturn = appAutoCADe.ActiveDocument.GetVariable("USERS1")

hmmm,

I can not find a way to redirect the output of the area and surface commands to a variable. I would have expected

(setq testvar (command "area" "o" pause))

to work, but no luck.

I will have to defer this question to someone else, and I will watch for an answer since it is a good question!
