I have some plugins (exe, developed by vb6 not vba), which work completely well on win 7, draw some lines on the cad drawing. But when I try to run them on win 10, it fails with the exception "runtime error 91: object variable or with block variable not set".

I wonder if there are any solutions to this problem.

Hi,

>>>there<<< you find the description to the message, without seeing the code it's not possible now to say what at your site is the reason for that exception.

It might be possible that

you had installed some lib's which you don't have now.

you where working on 32bit on your WIndows 7 while now working on 64bit operating system (and AutoCAD)

you had another version of AutoCAD running.

... and more

Hi,

well, AutoCAD 2011 on Windows 10 is a risk by itself (as AutoCAD 2011 is not supported/tested on Windows 10)

So your questions will stay open as long as you don't debug and look to the line of code the error is raising up.

When I edit registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> SOFTWARE --> Microsoft --> Windows --> CurruntVersion --> Policies -->System, set EnableLUA value to 0, and guess what, the vb exe works! Maybe It's something about privilege that blocks the autocad type lib.
Alfred, thank you all the same!
