Well, unless you luck out and find it somewhere, I
don't believe it's printed anymore, last I saw in this ng.

I think the PDF is the only version you can
get.

Luck would definitely have to be on your side if you are to find a hardcopy of my book. Unfortunately, the hardcopies have been sold out for over a year now. The electronic version is the only one you can definitely get. Difference? There is no difference between either version.

A "demand" in the AutoCAD world is not the same as a demand in the Microsoft world [which is where most of Wrox emphasis is placed]. It is far cheaper for them to sell 2 to 3 thousand additional copies of the book in electronic format then it is to use trees. Even as "demanding" as the VBA community seems to be, there is not alot [if any] interest in producing any more VBA titles by any of the major publishing including Wrox, Apress and Autodesk Press.

Lets see how they feel though when they drop VSA.NET on the market and no
one adopts it until there are some books. Maybe then there'll be a shift in
priorities.

It's all about numbers my friend. All about numbers!

Quite frankly, in retrospect, I'm still amazed that my book was published in the first place! Since then I have presented numerous proposals to all kinds of publishers for topics like AutoCAD VBA, MDT VBA, Inventor with no success whatsoever. This niche market is just too small, so it has to be serviced by NG's and personal websites.

I must have been lucky then, because I found a paper copy through Amazon Marketplace just a couple of weeks ago. I think a Canadian version (at least by the price $49.99 Can) was still available.

I was looking for a harcopy for months
and finally (Luckily) found it my local community college
bookstore. Even working in production where time is limited, this book has
a perminant spot next to the computer. You know, I think that I would
support the cause for anoter edition. I'll would probably even pay, say, over
$100 bucks without blinking. Joe, do you have a web site? just
wondering.

In the mean time, I will consider myself

finally able to download the book. Had to regedit all of the antiquated virus software out of my computer. I haven't looked at the book too much yet, but i imagaine the material is excellent. One thing that i found disheartening is that, with the acrobat ebook format, you can't copy and paste the sample code. A lot of hardcopy books these days include cds that include code and samples. I'm wondering if someone actually did an analysis of the revenue that might be lost by simply printing the book to a standard pdf file. And the revenue that might be gained by associating an author's name with a book in that format.

If you get the latest acrobat (it's in 5, not sure about 4),
there's a 'Text Select Tool' (capital T with little rectangle next to it). Hit
that button, select the code, ctrl+c for copy, and ctrl+v in your ide code
window.

I agree with you though, a cd would be much nicer. It
would be nice if they just posted a cd image file with the book download,
then you could burn your own.
