Go to the AutoCAD VBAIDE (Alt+F11) and Debug>Compile. It should show you where the error is. You can also go to Tools>References and look for "MISSING:" type libraries.

VBA App Issue

I have a 3rd party freeware VBA/LISP application that I had used on a pretty regular basis to merge text styles. Recently the app stopped working on my system, and I get an Visual Basic runtime error. I'm running AutoCAD 2024, but also installed 2025 and get the same issue.

This app works OK on other systems in the office running 2024 and works occasionally on my system when it's run. The site that originally hosted the application hasn't been touched since 2013 - so there's nobody from the developer to reach out to. Any suggestions?

Tried that, but the app is password protected (even though it said it was freeware).

Then I can't really help you. It's probably something like you have Office 64 bit installed and the app references the 32 bit version of Office. Your only option would be to write the code yourself.

Thanks for at least trying to point me in the right direction. It has worked in the past with the 64bit office version installed - and works on other systems in my office with it installed as well. I did just think that the only thing that's changed is that my desktop is now an AMD processor vs. Intel. I'm not a programmer and was hoping that someone may have seen this error before and could provide some insight based on the error code alone.

No, it's nothing like that. The "module" that is missing is a code module stored in a dvb. It could also be that there was more than one dvb included in the download and you only copied the main dvb to your pc.
