Is there a quick method or a routine that can convert an attributed block to lines and text. If I explode the block my attributed text turns into the tagstring text not the attributed value?

Not VBA, but a lisp, "tag2txt.lsp".... look under "Free Stuff" at www.dotsoft.com, courtesy Terry Dotson. Express tools has a "Burst" command that does this.
