AutoCAD configures everytime I open VB6.0

Hi all,

I have just reinstalled my OS and am experiencing a probem in that every time I open VB6.0 or open my installed app AutoCAD runs through a configuration. Why would there be any link between the two and what triggers the AutoCAD configuration?

I've had this same problem on one other computer that I installed my app on and someone else at my work told me that he had another program that did exactly the same thing.

I could try to uninstall both apps and install them in a different sequence but it's not solving the problem.

Hope someone can help.

Check your Application Event Logs. Usually, when a secondary installer
fires, it puts the reason why it is being run in the event logs. It could be
missing a particular file, folder, registry entry, or something like that.

To get to the Application Event Logs, right-mouse click on your "My
Computer" icon. Select "Manage" from the menu. Expand the "Event Viewer"
under "System Tools". Click on "Application". Look for "MsiInstaller" events
in the "Source" category.

Very impressive.

I used to have a D drive before I reinstalled the OS. That's now for some reason changed to E:. On the D drive I keep all my application setup files including an ISO image of my AutocAD disk. For some reason seems to be looking for the D drive. Don't surpose you have a suggestion for redirecting this error?

I've just changed my drive letter assignments back to what they were and she's back running properly.

Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Disk Management/
.Right click & choose Change Drive Letter & Path/ Edit & change the drive letter
