Absolutely the most aggravating thing about working in vba.
the slightest error crashes acad (sometimes...sometimes not...:-) ) and all
work is lost
very hard to get in the habit of alt+f+e alt+d+enter alt+f+enter before ever
hitting f5
but that's the only solution I know of
after losing work several times you get in the habit though.
i try to alt+f+e after every edit...but it's hard to remember every
time...until after losing some work, then you remember for a while
:-)

any time I can I work in vb instead of vba for that reason....but vba is
handy for those quickies...
:-)

i just crashed AutoCAD and lost a couple hours work on my application...

... I think I know the answer to this...
but is there a autosave feature or some other way I might restore my lost
work is there?</HUTCH>

Better get busy reconstructing the code.

Save whenever you've accomplished something. Export your forms and
modules periodically in case the DVB becomes corrupt.
Does anyone know if there are any independent IDE's that support DVB?
I've seen some for VB that have AutoSave, but nothing for VBA/DVB.
since vba is a "hosted" application, i would say not. vba is specific to
whatever application is hosting it, be it autocad, inventor, office, etc. i
think it would be rather difficult to figure out how each application
implements their version of the vbaide.
