topic Try to find the calling Acad instance in VBA Forum

Hi everybody,

I'm searching a way to find the calling AcadObject in case of multiple instances.

I've made a working c# application, but that application needs drawing infos. An icon is created in Acad to call that application. My problem is that I've difficult to open the calling Acad Instance. If different Acad are simultanously opened, the founded instance still always the first one.
I wrote this post about the problem.

If your know how to do, or have an idea, please check that post.

Thanks for help and/or advises,

Hi Jean-Marc,

Tony (and a few others) have an elitist view of .NET programming which
says that if you use ActiveX in .NET, that is not .NET programming and
therefore you shouldn't have the temerity to post in their elite NG, but
instead you should post to the VBA newsgroup on the grounds that this NG
is about ActiveX programming as distinct from VBA programming. The
reality is that there has never been a .NET query answered here other
than by a regular user of the .NET newsgroup. In other words he has
wasted your time.

ps I hadn't remembered when replying in the Customisation NG that you
were the OP in the .NET newsgroup which is the one where you would
expect to find skilled users of .NET.

Regards

Thanks for your answer Laurie.

I do not have more than to wait for the answer of generous soul on the newsgroup .net. For me it is clear that it is of the .NET. And if it is a question of elitism, for me .NET, VBA or other one are not better nor less good than others.

If we want to speak about elite, it would be necessary to encode only in source code, without any help that however kind it is. We would therefore be restricted to the assembler, and at the very most to the C.

Personally, I am not "racist". I code in c *, vba and lisp. My purpose is to make quick applications, not to make the nicest code nor the purest.
F1 is very ugly, but very quick. His role is to go quickly, no being nice.
We should not put property instead of purpose, because with only car radio, they do not go very far...

It is my opinion, but I respect the others also.
